GUY Ritchie's spin-off series The Gentlemen stars one of the nation's most popular rising stars Theo James.
The White Lotus star leads The Gentlemen as the Duke of Halstead, Eddie Horniman, the estranged son of an English aristocrat who finds himself embroiled in a world of criminality
Following the release of the crime-thriller, which pulled in an estimated 12.2 million views within just three days, Netflix has given fans a glimpse into Theo James' life before the show.
In an interview by Netflix, Theo was asked 'What's the most gangster thing about you?' to which he replied, 'this is an easy one, I grew up in Buckinghamshire which is one of the most gangster counties you could ever come across.'
Now as a newspaper, we're not sure we agree with this sweeping statement of Buckinghamshire being 'gangster' but it has had its fare share of criminal gangs locked up.
That being said, James was in fact born in High Wycombe, a town within firing distance of London.
He was raised, however, in Askett, a picturesque hamlet in Buckinghamshire, in the Parish of Princes Risborough. His father Philip Taptiklis is a business consultant, while his mother Jane Martin worked for the NHS. Theo’s full name is, in fact, Theodore Peter James Kinnaird Taptiklis.
You can watch The Gentlemen on Netflix now.
