The owner of sheep and goats that were stolen from a field in Stokenchurch last month is ‘so happy’ to see their safe return.
Rebecca Carter made a public appeal for help after her two sheep and two goats were stolen from an address near City Road between the hours of 10pm on Tuesday, February 13 and 7am on Wednesday, February 14.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police, who launched an investigation into the theft, said yesterday (March 9) that the animals have now been found and returned to their “very happy” owner, nearly a month after they disappeared.

Rebecca, who had previously said “no questions would be asked” upon the safe return of her animals, also shared the news on social media and thanked members of the public for raising awareness of the incident.
She said: “They are home! Thank you to everyone who has shared this post.”
Rebecca added that the sheep and goats had been found, presumably dumped, in a farmer’s field and that as far as she knew, no arrests had been made.
