It has nearly been a fortnight since the village of Chesham Bois was rocked by a shocking attack against a shopkeeper.
Harpal Singh, the owner of Londis on Bois Lane, was hit with an axe by robbers, who stole cash, cigarettes and vapes. It was the second robbery in as many days, after Ivy Stores, less than a mile away on Plantation Road, was also targeted.
Two weeks on, Thames Valley Police have now made a number of arrests, with two people held in police custody.
Aaron Birbeck, 31, of Kidderminster Road, Croydon, has been charged with two counts of robbery, as well as possessing a bladed article on a public place, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place, and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
A 15-year-old - who cannot be named for legal reasons - has been charged with two counts of robbery.
Connor McVay, 26, of Copperkins Lane, Amersham, has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop for a traffic officer and driving without insurance.
The two adults have been remanded in custody, while the 15-year-old has been released on bail.
The trio are due to appear before Aylesbury Crown Court on April 9.
Mr Singh was initially hospitalised with serious injuries, but is now said to be recovering.
Almost £7,000 have been raised via a JustGiving page set up to support the victim.
A police spokesperson said at the time that the incidents were being treated as related.
