Motorists in Aylesbury are experiencing heavy delays this morning after roadworks coincided with 'ice rink' driving conditions.
Buckinghamshire Highways began work to fill potholes on Broughton Avenue in Aylesbury this morning (March 4), putting traffic control measures in place along the busy road that are expected to remain until tomorrow.
Unfortunately, the roadworks have coincided with a spell of icy weather this morning, with drivers reporting long waits following "multiple incidents" caused by the road surface, which one commuter said was "like an ice rink".
Broughton Avenue currently remains open with heavy congestion, according to live traffic tracking.
Thames Valley Police has been contacted for more information about the reported incidents.
