A decision on the Marlow Film Studios planning application will not take place until at least the end of this month after developers submitted a range of new transport plans.
Dido Property Ltd, the company behind the proposed Marlow Film Studios development on greenbelt land near the A404 in Little Marlow, submitted a raft of amendments to its original planning application on Thursday, February 22.
Buckinghamshire Council's Strategic Sites Committee chose to defer a decision on the film studio back in October 2023, with March 2024 indicated as a planned time to reconvene - but a council spokesperson has now confirmed that the new planning documents will be subject to a statutory period of 30 days, meaning a decision will not be made until at least March 22.
While the date of a new committee meeting has yet to be confirmed, it can be safely assumed that it won’t take place before the end of the month, and may end up being scheduled for later in the spring if further changes are submitted.

The amendments to the application submitted last month aimed to address concerns raised during the Strategic Sites Committee’s discussion last autumn, including of the development’s environmental impact and potential pressure on local transport networks.
The new plans include a total proposed investment of over £20 million into public transport, including an upgrade of the A404 Westhorpe Interchange to resolve “long-standing capacity issues” and two new bus services between Marlow and High Wycombe.
However, local campaigners opposed to the studio development have remained steadfast in their criticism, with a representative for the group Save Marlow’s Greenbelt stating on social media: “This is the wrong location for the project. It will be hugely detrimental to the environment, local infrastructure and the community.”
Do you think Marlow Film Studios will go ahead or not?
