A flood alert has been issued across parts of Buckinghamshire today.
The Environment Agency has issued a flood alert for areas along the River Thames including Marlow and Bourne End following recent heavy rainfall this morning, Thursday, February 29.
Property flooding is not expected in the Marlow area, but residents have been warned to avoid using low-lying footpaths and roads while river levels remain high.
Further rainfall is forecast for the coming days, but the Environment Agency anticipates that levels on the Thames will begin to fall over the next 48 hours after stabilising and reaching their peak.
The government agency will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates.
