Many shops in the town once packed with customers now sit empty, with chatter about which retailer would suit the area a constant topic of discussion.
Zara in Eden Shopping Centre now lies vacant, with bosses remaining tight-lipped on what retailer will replace it.
Primark has already confirmed it will be filling the ground floor space of House of Fraser, but nothing has been confirmed for its second floor.
But as nothing is yet confirmed, the Bucks Free Press asked readers which retailers they would most like to see in High Wycombe– with four names consistently mentioned by hopeful shoppers.
By far the most popular result was home flat pack retailer Ikea, which has a store in Milton Keynes in Reading.
Next on the list was another discount brand, Homesense, which is popular among those looking for luxury home and garden products on a budget, with 77 stores across the country and sites already in Taplow and Reading. Now – people in High Wycombe want their share of the deals.
Dozens of readers are also crying out for a soft play where children can play whilst parents do shopping.
Jungle Mania has already confirmed it's moving into the Eden Shopping Centre following its sudden closure in Bourne End.
Now with the empty Zara unit, there are strong suggestions the independent business will be occupying the space there.
