A few weeks ago, television personality and maths expert Johnny Ball visited a primary school in Beaconsfield.
This got us thinking, what other famous names have we seen walking the streets of Buckinghamshire?
Will Mellor
The actor, who is best known for his roles in Hollyoaks, Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps and No Offence, came to south Bucks for an important engagement… to have his eyes tested at Specsavers branch in Marlow.
This was during the summer of 2020 when the country was badly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic.
Jayven Athwal, store director at Marlow Specsavers, said: “I was pleased to see Will coming in now that we are fully open and taking care of his eye health.
Harry Clark
The 22-year-old’s life has changed drastically after winning the BBC reality show, ‘The Traitors’ at the start of this year, where he managed to pocket nearly £100,000.
He is now looking at new ventures to explore, but not long after pocketing the cash, he decided to visit the Botanist restaurant in Marlow.
Harry, who is from Slough, said he ‘loves Marlow’ when he popped into the establishment.
Mary Berry
A national treasure and excellent baker, the 88-year-old used to live in Buckinghamshire for several years before moving over to Henley.
During her time in the county, she was regularly seen in Penn (the village where she used to live), along with areas bordering High Wycombe.
During the spring of 2014, six episodes of ‘Mary Berry Cooks’ were aired on the BBC, with each show being recorded from her Buckinghamshire-based home.
Ricky Gervais
We all know that Ricky’s a relativity local lad.
Born in Reading with Slough being used as the location for his hit show, ‘The Office’, the Thames Valley has a huge place in the comedian’s heart.
Despite his loyalties to Berkshire, he currently resides in Marlow and is frequently spotted along the town’s High Street.
He was even spotted at Marlow Farmer’s Market in September 2017.
