We asked Bucks Free Press readers to share Valentine's Day messages for their loved ones - here are the lovely words they sent...
Readers across Buckinghamshire sent in their Valentine’s Day tales, from funny first dates, romantic anecdotes to pictures of their wedding day from year’s gone by.
The Bucks Free Press has had a lovely week hearing stories from loved up couples.
Here is a selection of some of the lovely messages and photographs we received.
Marie-Claire is shining a light on her parents-in-law Edward and Rosemary Rees, from Penn, who married 60 years ago on February 29.
She said: “My parents in law are celebrating their Diamond Wedding Anniversary on 29th February. They only get to celebrate on the actual day every four years! They have two children, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. They have lived in and around High Wycombe all their married life.”
Becky Pearson met her partner David in 2017 after she came out of a “very toxic relationship.”
She said: “David got me out of a very bad place and made me happy again and I learnt what true love was and meant. David gave me the confidence I needed over the years and David has brought my three children up which at the time in 2017 my eldest was 9 my middle son was 3 and my youngest was 18 months old.
"Myself and David married in July 2018 and have been together for almost 6 years and Married for 5 years! My children have an amazing bond with David and we are a complete family.”
Laura Munday shared photos of her grandparents Joy and Peter Munday.
She said: “They have lived in High Wycombe, Wycombe Marsh all their life.
Peter, now 89 and Joy, 87, have been married a while 67 years this coming July.
“They really are joint at the hip and always have been!”
Chelsea Clatworthy said: “Met on Facebook dating, first date lasted 7 hours…2 months later engaged booking our wedding for 11 weeks time.”
Deborah Brown said: “Married on Valentines day millennium and was featured in the Midweek paper.”
Trudy Hancock: “Met walking five-year-old siblings to birthday parties aged 13 & 16. Knew each other for many years, got together many years later and married on our 25th anniversary in 2022 after I had an SCA 7 months earlier.”
