A ROAD in Buckinghamshire has closed in both ways this weekend for waterworks.
Naphill, Main Road, has been closed off by Affinity Water for works on Saturday, February 10 to Sunday.
Traffic control signals will be enforced until Monday.
The closure, starting from Clappins Lane up to Stocking Lane, is for an "Affinity Water service pipe repair."
Arriva's X9 buses are having to take a detour because of the road closure.
Traffic heading from High Wycombe towards Naphill on Valley Road, reaches the bottom of Coombe Lane where there’s a “Road Ahead Closed” board, and a large arrow telling drivers to head back the way they just came.
There are also no shortage of Road Ahead Closed boards in Naphill and one at the bottom of Bradenham Wood Lane to warn drivers.
Garth Randall, a member of the Lacey Green and Loosley Row - What's going on? Facebook group said: "Never ending, can’t ever remember when New Road or Main road wasn’t dug up somewhere."
Zug Jones said: "I think there is some irritation and dismay amongst some nearby residents."
