Buckinghamshire Council has released a statement about posts on social media naming Councillor Carl Jackson.
The councillor for Chalfont St Giles, Seer Green and Jordans was named in a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Guardian columnist Owen Jones.
The council said: “The Council is aware of posts on social media naming Councillor Carl Jackson, deputy cabinet member for housing and regulatory services.
“We of course, as an organisation, take any such issues very seriously and have powers to investigate concerns where they relate to conduct of members when acting as councillors of this council.
“Buckinghamshire Council upholds the highest standards in terms of conduct by officers and councillors and is fully committed to promoting equality in all aspects of our work and services.
“Any complaints we receive will be considered through our Member Code of Conduct process.”
Cllr Jackson is the Conservative area chairman for Buckinghamshire and the deputy lead governor for Oxford Health NHS.
