Protesters accused a Buckinghamshire company of 'supporting genocide' during a demonstration this morning after learning it supplied aircraft seats to the Israeli military.
Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the Martin-Baker factory in Denham this morning following news that the family-run company supplied explosive ejector seat cartridges to the Israeli air force ahead of its ongoing bombardment of Gaza.
According to the media organisation Declassified, The Pentagon handed Martin-Baker a half-a-million-dollar contract to supply Israel with explosive ejector seat cartridges for its F-35 planes back in September.
This morning (January 24), around 12 pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside the Martin-Baker factory donning banners reading: 'Martin Baker supports genocide'.
They played music outside the gates to the factory, chanted 'Palestine we have your back' and stopped vehicles entering the premises to question why they were providing equipment to 'help bomb families' in Gaza.
Sue and Gary, who live next door to the factory, said the protest had woken them up at around 7:30am and then continued for around two hours.
Sue said: "They were playing loud music, and we thought it was a car driving through the gates. But it kept going on, so we looked out the window and there it was.
"There was a man with a loudspeaker talking loudly about how they're against the planes that Martin-Baker makes ejector seats for.
"The lorries were going in and the protesters were standing by the gates - it looked like it could have been dangerous."
Gaza's health ministry said today (January 24) that Israel's offensive has killed at least 25,490 people - the majority of them women and children - and wounded another 63,354.
