THE FAMILY of a cyclist who died in a crash earlier this week have paid tribute to a "gentle and kind man".
Michael Dorrill, 74, was killed in a crash by a black Mercedes-Benz C Class shortly after 9am on Wednesday morning.
The crash happened on Marsh End Road at the junction with Richmond Way in Newport Pagnell, north of Buckinghamshire.
His family have paid tribute to Michael, also known as Mike.
They said: “Michael Dorrill, also known as Mike, aged 74, sadly died after he was involved in a collision with a black Mercedes on Marsh End Road at around 9am on Wednesday morning.
“Mike was loved by everyone who knew him, he was such a gentle and kind man, but his family, need to take some time to take this all in, thank you.”
A 27-year-old man from Brent, London, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless driving and drug-driving.
He has been released on police bail until April 15.
