A DRIVER fears many customers will be affected by the removal of LPG fuel from ASDA petrol station in High Wycombe.
Barry Peters from Bledlow Ridge has criticised the supermarket chain for its decision in no longer selling the fuel.
According to the RAC, LPG is recognised as a versatile low-carbon fuel and is typically half the price of petrol.
ASDA confirmed that it will no longer be supplying LPG fuel, recommending customers to visit alternative nearby stations.

Barry said: "They say that the company are trying to be green, but then they stop providing the fuel that is 40 per cent cleaner to run vehicles on than petrol and diesel!
"They are now the only local supplier and always busy, this is going to affect a lot of local people (and taxi companies)
"Not only is this not responsible in a ‘green’ way but it will also lose them at least my trade as I shop when I fill and if LPG goes I will use much closer supermarkets. Asda think again, keep LPG and help the environment!"
The removal of LPG is part of their refurbishment plan at the petrol pump located on Crest Road.
Barry added: "Taking away my only source of fuel means I’m going to have to change to Diesel and its added pollutants and costs."
"I use it all the time as the only outlet between here and Heathrow.
"I have to run a 4x4 for work purposes and I make an effort to find LPG converted ones as they are so much greener (and now ULEZ compliant) taking away my only source of fuel means I’m going to have to change to diesel and it’s added pollutants and costs.
"I also regularly see local taxied filling up there so I guess they will also be hit hard."
Asda remains firm with their planned refurbishments.
An ASDA spokesperson said: "We can confirm that the petrol station at our High Wycombe store will undergo a refurbishment which will provide more contactless payment facilities.
"Unfortunately, this does mean that we will no longer be able to sell LPG converted petrol."
