A recommended dinner spot of a head chef in Marlow is one of Tom Kerridge's restaurants, The Butcher's Tap and Grill.
Marlow chef Sarah Hayward, who is part of the team behind The Coach, praises this local haunt for its atmosphere and fantastic pub snacks.
When asked about her favourite place to dine for up to £40 for two, Hayward enthused about The Butcher's Tap and Grill.
She explained the unique offering where diners can pick a fresh cut such as a pork tomahawk or T-bone steak from the butcher's counter, to be prepared exactly to their taste.
She said enthusiastically about this Marlow gem: "I love everything about that place - the food, the drink, the vibe -and the staff are so friendly, they make everyone feel super welcome.
"I took my parents in there once, and after having a chat with one of the managers, they found out my dad's favourite band was The Police.
"Next thing we knew, that's what we were listening to.
"I just thought that was such a special touch."
On the topic of low-effort meals for those cosy evenings at home, the Michelin-trained chef swears by a simple tomato pasta, preferably topped with a sizeable portion of burrata.
She says: "If you use fresh pasta from the supermarket, it literally takes minutes to prepare.
"This is something me and my best friend often have for dinner, when we just want to have a catch-up with a glass of wine and don't want to spend loads of time in the kitchen beforehand."
Hayward, who traces her culinary passion to her childhood growing up in a family where both her father is a professional chef, firmly believes cooking is ingrained in her genes.
Speaking about her father's influence, She shared: "He's one of the most passionate chefs I know, and I think when you grow up with someone who loves their job as much as my dad did, you learn to fall in love with it too."
With such rich culinary roots, it's no surprise then that Hayward shines brightly in her role heading up The Coach in Marlow, bringing her expertise, passion and love for food to innumerable plates each day.
