Traffic was gridlocked in Amersham and Chesham after roadworks started.
Morning rush hour traffic was brought to a standstill on Amersham Road A416 on the Amersham bound lane today due to roadworks in the area.
The works are expected to last for almost two weeks after Buckinghamshire Council gave them a go-ahead.
The traffic control measures were put in place due to utility repair and maintenance works outside Boot and Slipper pub on Chesham Road.

Around the corner on Rickmansworth Road, another set of multi-way signals was also set up by Global Utility Connections who are responsible for both works.
Works will take place from Wednesday, January 17 until Tuesday, January 30 between 8am and 6pm.
Traffic alerts showed slow moving traffic in Chesham town centre and Waterside, Amersham Road all the way to Amersham-on-the-Hill, where traffic was in gridlock on Chiltern Avenue and Hill Avenue.
