A power company has warned of potential roadworks after an unplanned outage left homes and businesses without electricity during cold weather.
UK Power Networks customers in and around Amersham were hit by unplanned outages.
A power cut hit in the HP6 5 postcode area just before 10pm on Sunday (January 14), leaving residents without electricity overnight in parts of Chesham Bois and Hyde Heath.
Power is estimated to be back on between 12noon and 1pm today, UK Power Networks said.

Another unplanned outage happened shortly before 9am today in the HP7 9 postcode area in Amersham and Little Chalfont.
The fault was caused by an issue with an underground electricity cable and the provider “may have to dig up the road to carry out repairs,” UK Power Networks warned.
Electricity is estimated to be restored between 12.30pm and 1pm today.
