POLICE investigation continues over fatal M40 crash which killed a man and a woman, an inquest heard today.
Jagdish Singh-Bhogal, 70, and Jaswinder Kaur Bhogal, 68, both from Ilford, were travelling on the M40 between Stokenchurch and High Wycombe, when they were involved in a crash with eight cars on January 22 last year.
A brief pre-inquest hearing was held at the Beaconsfield Coroner’s Court today (January 9) into the tragic deaths.
Ten other people also suffered minor injuries from the crash, which happened between Junction 5 Stokenchurch and Junction 4 Handy Cross, High Wycombe.

During the hearing, Senior Coroner Crispin Giles Butler confirmed the road traffic incident is a “subject of an ongoing police investigation,” but that the police had made no homicide charges.
“I’m not aware of any homicide charges and no request to postpone the inquest,” he said.
The hearing was adjourned after Mr Butler announced a further brief review hearing in three months’ time and depending on any criminal charges by Thames Valley Police.
