A local restaurant has temporarily closed this month for a very good reason.

Turkish restaurant Chanak in The Parade, Wooburn Green, Bourne End announced they are 'taking a brief break for some much-needed maintenance'.

The business, rated four out of five for food hygiene, is much loved in the area for its good food and friendly staff.

They announced online: "Dear valued customers, we're taking a brief break in January for some much-needed maintenance and a touch of magic to our space.

"As we work behind the scenes to enhance your dining experience, we'll be temporarily closed.

"But fear not! We'll be back soon with exciting news, refreshed decor, and a few surprises up our sleeves. Get ready for a dining experience like never before!

"Thank you for your understanding and continued support. Stay tuned for updates and we can't wait to welcome you back to our revamped space. See you soon!
