Two cars were left in a terrible state following a huge crash in the centre of High Wycombe.
During the afternoon of Sunday, January 7, the emergency services were called to a roundabout along the London Road due to what was later described as a 'serious injury collision'.
Images from the incident showed both vehicles being badly damaged, with one of the cars having its doors removed.
Police on the scene couldn’t comment on the incident, but many spectators who watched the clear up expressed their concerns.
One person said: “This looks dreadful, I hope everyone involved is OK.
Another said: “Looking at the damage, it must have been one hell of a smash.
“It’s happened near the roundabout so this is going to cause a lot of traffic.
“I hope everyone is alright as it looks terrible.”
This person said: "It's so sad to see, I hope they get well soon."
The emergency services were at the scene by 4pm, and at around 5.30, both vehicles involved were put on breakdown lorries before being taken away.
Workers were then seen sweeping up numerous glass particles that had been scattered across London Road and Park Street.
