Flood alerts remain in place across Buckinghamshire after Storm Henk.

The Environment Agency warned residents of the ongoing risk of flooding after Storm Henk wreaked havoc in the county, with fallen trees blocking roads and causing power cuts.

Flood warning is in place for Colne Brook at Iver and Colnbrook, including Fulmer, today (January 4) as river levels are expected to remain high due to heavy rainfall, the government organisation said.

In the Aylesbury area especially, flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected to continue in the coming days.

A flood alert remains in place in Bear Brook and its tributaries in the Aylesbury area, including Wendover and Weston Turville.

Although drier weather is moving in, river levels remain high and they may rise again after possible rainfall, the Environment Agency said.

To stay safe, residents should avoid using low lying footpaths near local watercourses.
