A Post Office branch has ‘suddenly’ closed on a Buckinghamshire high street.
Chesham Post Office closed temporarily on Tuesday (January 2).
The branch apologised to customers for the closure due to “unforeseen circumstances.”
It said on a social media post: “Sorry, due to unforeseen circumstances our branch is closed. We will update you once we reopen asap. Thanks for your understanding.”
A Post Office spokesperson said the branch could reopen on Friday, January 5.
They said: "Chesham Post Office has been short-term temporarily closed since 2 January due to staff sickness.
"It is hoped that the branch will re-open on January 5.
"We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the unplanned closure. Alternative branches in the area include Great Hiving and Amersham.”
Great Hivings Post Office on Greenway will close between January 8 and 17 to facilitate its move to the property next door also owned by the postmaster.
On Google Maps, Chesham Post Office located on 93 High Street appeared as ‘temporarily closed'.
