DELIGHTED parents welcomed cute babies over the holidays in Buckinghamshire.
Families celebrated an extra special holiday in the maternity ward of Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
The maternity service was kept busy over the holidays as eight new babies were born on New Year’s Day alone.
The very first baby of 2024 was Baby Akhtar, a little girl born at 01.04am to Amreena Akhtar and partner Waqar Hussain, weighing 2.57 kg.
The second was Baby Mileham-Robin born at 01.38am to Charlotte Mileham and weighing 3.7 kg.
On Christmas Day, nine babies were born to delighted parents.

The first at 4.45am was Baby Mukta. Baby Ssemakula was born at 2.27pm and Baby Ghetu at 11.41am on Christmas Day.
Director of Midwifery Michelle East said: “Welcoming new arrivals into our world is one of the greatest privileges for our maternity team.
"Wishing all our new babies and their families a happy and healthy 2024.”
