The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings for heavy rain and wind across Buckinghamshire.
The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain across parts of the UK including Buckinghamshire from 5pm today (January 1) until 9pm tomorrow.
A yellow weather warning for wind will also come into effect between 8am and 9pm on Tuesday (January 2), promising a wet and wild start to 2024.
Although both weather warnings are expected to have a low impact on the affected regions, residents are urged to check road conditions before travelling and take extra precautions in case of a power outage or flooding.
Earlier today, the Environment Agency issued a flood alert along the River Thames from Hurley to Cookham, including through Marlow and Bourne End.
The governmental body warned residents living close to the river that water is likely to accumulate on low-lying land and roads, with levels expected to remain high due to further rainfall in the coming days.
