A flood alert has been issued across parts of Buckinghamshire this morning.
Rising water levels due to sustained rainfall have prompted the Environment Agency to issue a flood alert along the River Thames from Hurley to Cookham, including Marlow and Bourne End, today, Monday, January 1.
The governmental organisation has warned residents that while property flooding is not currently expected, water will likely accumulate on low-lying land and roads.

With further heavy rainfall predicted over the coming days, river levels are expected to remain high.
The Environment Agency will continue to monitor the situation and provide regular updates.
