KINGS of Leon have broken their silence after learning the High Wycombe strip club where they played their first UK gig is facing closure.
The White Horse pub and lap dancing venue on West Wycombe Road will close its doors for the final time at the end of 2023.
Kings of Leon – known for hits ‘Sex on Fire’ and ‘Use Somebody’ – played five songs at the White Horse in February 2003.
The band told the BFP: “The White Horse was our first taste of rock n roll and hardcore fans.
“We never knew if we’d play another tour, so we soaked up every second and smell, the latter being an instant regret.

“There will always be a special place in our hearts for the White Horse. Thank you for the memories.”
Kings of Leon is formed of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill and their cousin Matthew Followill.
The Nashville rockers did not confirm if they would play at the White Horse one more time before it shuts for good.
The pub is closing after financial struggles but is hosting one last Christmas party today from 1pm before a final blowout on December 30.
A planning application to bulldoze the venue and build flats on the site was recently refused.
