A 28-year-old man has been jailed for smuggling drugs into a prison in Buckinghamshire.
Smuggling of illegal substances into HMP Woodhill was uncovered following an investigation by the South East Regional Prisons Team (SERPIT).
Ali Serroukh, 28, of HMP Woodhill, was sentenced to 12 months’ imprisonment for one count of causing another person to convey a List A prohibited article into prison at a hearing in Aylesbury Crown Court on Monday, December 4.
The sentence will be added onto the sentence he is already serving for firearm and drug offences.
The smugglers managed to fly a done over HMP Woodhill containing cannabis on September 12, 2021.

Officers then discovered that Serroukh had been communicating with an individual outside of the prison to organise the delivery of the drugs.
A spokesperson for SERPIT said: “Due to the strength of the evidence we had against Serroukh, he had no choice but to plead guilty.
“As a consequence of his actions, his time in prison has been extended.
“SERPIT has dedicated officers working hard to stop drugs from making their way into the prison system, a vitally important part of the work that we do.”
