A closed-down pub will reopen within days in time for Christmas.
The Griffin pub on Bellingdon Road, Chesham, shut at the end of the summer after the departure of its landlady of 24 years Pat Miller.
Pat and her husband Steve had to retire from the helm of the beloved community pub due to rising costs and health reasons.
For months, the windows of the pub were dark after the closure.

The Mid-Chiltern Campaign for Real Ale expressed concern over the "national trend" of pub closures shutting "much-loved" establishments like The Griffin.
Fortunately, the pub's owners, Star Bars and Pubs chain, were able to find a new licensee to run the place, with reopening date planned well before Christmas.
A spokesperson for Star Bars and Pubs said: “The new operator is getting the pub ready for opening on Monday, December 11.”
