A DRUG driver has been arrested after drawing attention to himself in front of officers.

Thames Valley Police caught the driver wheel-spinning on a car cruise infront of a marked police car in Milton Keynes.

The ordeal happened on Sunday, December 3 and police called the driver a "plonker."

Police said in a statement: "The driver of this mean machine drew attention to himself by wheel-spinning out of a car cruise in front of a marked traffic car in #MiltonKeynes.

"When we stopped him it transpired that he only had a provisional licence and he was arrested when he then failed a roadside drug test for Cannabis.

"What a plonker!"
