A BREWERY has said its final goodbyes to residents after closing its doors for good.
After 11 wonderful years, Malt the Brewery in Prestwood, Great Missenden, had it's final hurrah on Saturday, November.
Since then, the business has been selling off items such as brewing equipment, taproom furniture and even an oak kitchen for £100.
Residents can buy a piece of Malt history, with the taproom bar area up for sale for £400 or you can purchase a forklift truck for £5,500.
But the best thing of all are the lovely messages of support left behind by members of the community.
Dozens of people have shared their messages of support to owners Nick Watson, wife Jenny and the staff.
Bob Scott said: "Thanks to you both and all your TeamMalt members over the years. You created something really special way beyond the great beers you invented.
"A community space so much needed in the village and now abruptly and unnecessarily taken away from us all.
"But the community of friends, the spirit of Malt The Brewery will live on strong and continue to meet.
"You should be proud of what you built and the legacy of the young people you gave work opportunities to, the charities you supported and other local businesses you provided a platform for. To your future health and happiness together. Cheers from this Maltster.
Mimi Harker Obe said: "Jenny and Nick - wishing you the very very best for whatever adventure you embark on next! Thank you for being inspirational and such great pillars of our community!"
Hilary Pearce: "I'm not beer drinker, but personally I am so sorry to see you go You've been a great part of the village and a business to be proud of."
Paul Singleton: "Thank you for being brave and following your dreams of setting up the brewery. I can remember those early days of the brewery, helping out with the brewing, bottling by hand, labelling the bottles. Thank you for the beer, thank you for the friendship, thank you for the great community and above all, thank you for the memories. A very sad end. I wish you both well for the future."
Steve Whittley said: "Well done for all the hard work you put into a small independent business in a small community. Hope the next venture is equally rewarding. You deserve it."
Christian S Adams: "I only moved to Prestwood a couple of years ago and first discovered you soon after.
"I wasn’t a “regular”, sadly, but I came in a fair few times and stocked up regularly on bottles for home.
"Thank you for bringing a great range of locally made beer and community spirit to this village. You will be missed by me, and clearly thousands of others. I for one hope that this is only au revoir.
Punter Tony Ramsey said: "Sad to lose such a great part of the Prestwood community." Good luck.
Steve Moore echoed this: "You guys created something quite magical that many of us will greatly miss."
