A school in High Wycombe has been identified as having the best record for sending students to Oxford or Cambridge University of any school or college in Buckinghamshire.
The Royal Grammar School for boys in High Wycombe, on Amersham Road, sent 57 pupils to one of the country's best universities at the end of the 2019-20 academic year. They also sent 11 students to Oxbridge.
That's according to figures recently published by the Department for Education.
Beaconsfield High School has the next best record with 54 of pupils going to a Russell Group university and 6 students headed for Oxbridge.
That's followed by Wycombe High School for girls with 46 going to a Russell Group and 3 to Oxbridge in total and John Hampden Grammar School with 44 in total and 1 pupil going to either Oxford or Cambridge.
On the other end of the scale, The Beaconsfield School which is rated 'Good' had four pupils get in to a Russell Group university (0 to Oxbridge).
Sir William Ramsay School also sent four pupils to a Russell Group and zero to Oxbridge.
