Gritters will take to the roads of Buckinghamshire this afternoon ahead of an expected temperature drop.
Buckinghamshire Highways has confirmed that service vehicles will begin gritting roads across the county from 4pm today (November 28) ahead of an expected cold spell overnight.
The council-operated vehicles will release crushed rock salt onto the roads to melt ice or prevent it from forming to ensure increased motorist safety.
A spokesperson for the highways body said: “It’s going to get cold tonight, so our gritters will be out treating roads across the county from 4pm.
“Let us know if you spot them and please take extra care when travelling in these cold weather conditions.”
