Police are searching for an escaped prisoner who failed to return to a facility after being granted temporary leave in a Buckinghamshire town.
Mark Powell, 35, failed to return to His Majesty's Prison Springhill in Grendon Underwood, Aylesbury, on Friday, November 24, after being granted temporary leave in the area.
Police described Powell as black, around 6 feet tall and of medium build. He was reportedly seen wearing a black puffer jacket and a black cap before failing to report back to the prison facility.
The 35-year-old is also known to frequent the Southwark area of South East London.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Stephanie Macleod said: “We are appealing to the public for any information around Powell’s whereabouts, or (to urge) anyone who may see him to get in touch.
“We would advise members of the public not to approach him if they see him but call 999 immediately quoting reference 43230528542.”
Anyone with information about where the escaped prisoner could be can contact the police by calling 101 and quoting 43230528542.
