A hospital in Buckinghamshire has received accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatrists for the quality of care it delivers to patients with eating disorders.
The Quality Network for Eating Disorders (QED) accreditation has been awarded to the Priory Group’s Marlow Hospital in High Wycombe in recognition of its “high standards of organisation and patient care”.
A review by the Royal College included comprehensive assessments of the care offered, input from patients and staff monitoring alongside an evaluation of employee training and wellbeing.
Reuben Evans, Managing Director at Priory Hospital, said: “Eating disorders are serious mental health issues which can have devastating impacts on people’s lives. It’s vital that people with conditions such as anorexia, bulimia and binge eating are provided with safe, compassionate care so that they can take steps to a lasting, sustainable recovery.
“This accreditation is a testament to our staff, who display the talent and professionalism required to receive such impressive recognition.”
