A High Wycombe man has been jailed for drug dealing following a Thames Valley Police inquiry.
Sajid Rashid, 38, a HMP Bullingdon resident, received his sentence of two years and 11 months on Monday, November 20 at Amersham Crown Court.
Rashid admitted to crimes including possession with intent to supply crack cocaine, a class A drug, and possession of cannabis/cannabis resin, a class B drug.
Additionally, he confessed to the acquisition and use of criminal property and careless driving.
On May 12, at 1pm, police observed Rashid leaving an address on Ogilvie Road, notorious for its association with class A drug dealing.
He jumped into a silver Honda Civic and struck a pedestrian.
Although the pedestrian was unhurt, Rashid was immediately apprehended in the driver’s seat.
Upon searching him, police found around £450 in cash and two mobile phones.
A further search of the car revealed crack cocaine and more phones in the nearby house contained messages linking Rashid to drug dealing.
Rashid was promptly arrested and charged the next day.
Investigating officer PC James Carey, of the Neighbourhood Policing Team based at High Wycombe police station, said: “Sajid Rashid is now a convicted drug dealer who has had to pay the significant consequences of committing such offences.
“We will continue to support our communities that suffer while this kind of offending continues and look to continue our hard work and dedication to bring further offenders to justice.
“We need the public’s help with this though so anyone with information about drug dealing should call 101 or make a report on our website.
“You can also provide information to police anonymously via the independent charity, Crimestoppers, by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting its website.”
