A BUSINESS in Hazlemere has been named the best wedding florist in the south of England.
Zoe Smith, the owner behind Studio 39 in Park Lane, has won wedding florist of the year in the South England Prestige Awards.
The business delivers flowers all over Buckinghamshire and customers can also purchase bunches of flowers from The Canny Cafe.
Zoe said she feels "really proud to have won this award" having worked so hard to get her business Studio 39 noticed.
She said: "I really take pride and care in my work. Always supplying fresh flowers - with a personal touch.
"I usually buy my flowers three times a week to make sure they are all super fresh and last as long as possible.
"Because I’m a small business that isn’t on high street, I am able to give customers a service that really looks after them and offer great attention to detail.
"I think it’s really important to give customers the best service you can and look after them when they are supporting your dream."
Zoe has been running her own business for three years after "taking a leap of faith in 2020".
She said: "I decided to take this leap of faith in 2020 after being a florist for over 10 years and working for other companies. I found the flower industry slightly dated and wanted to create something unique and full of passion.
"I have had the honour of creating flowers for over 40 weddings so far, and have lots more in the pipe line for the coming years!
"I created studio 39 because I wanted to be a bespoke florist, I wanted to create something that is more personal and bespoke to each individual.
"Taking into consideration peoples likes and dislikes such as colours, smells, textures and even memories with particular flowers and foliage’s.
"Everybody is unique and I feel this should be embraced.
"My style is inspired by a country garden feel with an added flare."
Zoe's mum inspired her to get into floristry, as well as her grandad spending time in his allotment.
She said: "I think it goes back to my childhood - I was always around flowers/plants growing up around horticulture.
"My mum and grandparents inspired me a-lot.
"I was always in their beautiful gardens, helping plant up seedlings or helping my grandad on his allotment learning and soaking up knowledge.
"My mum is also an artist and her paintings are usually of flowers which inspired me a lot too.
"Then when I was 4 years old I walked into a florist shop took a look around and told my mum that’s what I was going to be … and the rest is history!
"It has been a lovely adventure growing Studio 39 and getting to know all my customers.
"I am really excited for what the future brings."
