A DRIVER has been fined after being caught using a mobile phone while driving.

Vishal Patel, of Ayres Close, Aylesbury, was caught on February 23 in London using a hand-held mobile telephone while driving.

The 42-year-old was caught in a Mercedes driving down the A406 Circular Road and charged under the Road Traffic Act 1988.

At Willesden Magistrates Court on November 13, he pleaded guilty and was fined £153.

Patel was also ordered to pay court costs of £100 and a victim surcharge of £61.

His driving record was also endorsed with six penalty points.

The total amount to pay is £314 by the start of December.
