Although this year hasn’t been all smooth sailing for businesses, many have successfully launched new ventures.

The past year saw the opening of many new businesses in Buckinghamshire ranging from restaurants to shops, entertainment and wellness despite interest rates concerns affecting investment and confidence.

Many of the new ventures will hopefully find their regular customers soon and become a permanent fixture on the high streets.

Despite the challenging time for hospitality since the impact of the Covid pandemic and Brexit, a number of new restaurants and cafes have set up shop in Buckinghamshire and some old favourites have returned after a short closure.

Here are some of the businesses that have opened this year. The list was compiled on December 12.
