Buckinghamshire residents might spot Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne and his wife Sharon at their local Christmas lights turn-on this year - as the pair reveal plans to move across the pond in time for the festive season.

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne are set to join the host of celebrities who have made Buckinghamshire their home this Christmas, with Sharon confirming the couple's plans to permanently relocate to the UK before the end of the year in a recent interview with the Daily Mail. 

The former Black Sabbath member, 77, and his wife, 71, have long been planning to move from Los Angeles to Welders House in Buckinghamshire, a 120-year-old Grade-II listed property which they purchased back in 1993. 

Speaking to the Daily Mail's Weekend Magazine, Sharon expressed frustration at the delays the couple have experienced whilst anticipating their relocation, including heating issues at the Bucks mansion.  

She also touched upon her husband's recent health problems which have included spinal complications as a result of Parkinson's Disease - requiring the Osbournes to remain in the US as he underwent a series of surgeries and disrupting their initial plans to be based in Buckinghamshire from Christmas 2022.

Ozzy also had a fall at home in 2019 which aggravated injuries from a near-fatal quad bike crash in 2003, forcing him to pause his No More Tours 2 from going ahead across Europe this year.

Sharon told the Mail: "When Ozzy had his accident, I was like, 'God if only I could get you home to England and have some space.'

"The house took longer than we thought - now the gas and water pipes need changing, so there's a big trench all around the perimeter. I can't stay there because there's no heat.

"I hope we are in our house (before Christmas)."

In her interview with the Mail, the 71-year-old TV personality praised the remote and private nature of the UK property - which reportedly also appealed for its lack of proximity to any pubs.

Sources close to Ozzy and Sharon previously said the couple was waiting for the property market in LA to improve before selling their West Hollywood estate.

In an Instagram post addressed to his "loyal fans" in February, Ozzy described the cancellation of his gigs across the continent as "one of the hardest things I've ever had to share".

He added: "In all good conscience I have now come to the realisation that I'm not physically capable of doing my upcoming European/UK tour dates, as I know I couldn't deal with the travel required.

"Never would I have imagined that my touring days would have ended this way."
