A woman has finally been reunited with her mum's ashes after they were stolen during an overnight burglary.
Sophie Edmondson, 42, from Wicken, a village near north Buckinghamshire, was left devastated after burglars ransacked her garden office and snatched a hand-carved urn containing her mum Hannah’s ashes, who passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2017.
Sophie and her family were sleeping only 50 metres away from the scene of the crime, which happened between 1am and 3am on Saturday, October 28.
Northamptonshire Police launched an investigation after the urn was stolen, as well as building materials, clothing, cleaning products, vacuum and a TV.

Sentimental items like a locket with a bit of Hannah’s ashes in and a charm bracelet were also stolen.
But it's safe to say that Sophie has been reunited with her mum's ashes.
She wrote: "She’s back!!!!!! I cannot quite believe it but she was returned back to us this weekend. Words can’t describe how I’m feeling right now.
"The urn is sodden wet, stinks of bleach and needs a decent clean, but it’s full and back where it should be.
"I’m so incredibly grateful to everyone for all the love, support, kindness and shares- I like to think this was a massive group effort. WE DID IT!!!! THANK YOU!!"
