A barber shop has proven to be a cut above the rest in Buckinghamshire.

Ginger Jacks barbers in Frederick Street, Waddesdon has been celebrating after being named as 'Best Barbers' in the England Business Award South East section.

The Waddesdon business, owned by Jack Ewing, was voted the county’s best barbers and he feel "humbled by this" award.

He said: "Starting the business [Ginger Jacks] was no easy task as I took a leap of faith at the start of Covid which was probably one of the hardest challenges I had to face but I succeeded and now after three years, thriving.

"Having won three awards:  The great hair and beauty awards 2022 winner of South-East,  Barber of the year 2022 and England Business Awards 2023. Winner of South-East.

"[The award] has shown that one can achieve anything and make it a success when you put in the hard work and never giving up.

"Winning this award has made me humble by recognition."

The 53-year-old started hairdressing from a young age and found barbering as his passion.

He said: "I started hairdressing at the age of 16 where I have won multiple competitions through my youth and career as well as being part of a artistic team doing shows.

"Becoming a barber was a natural progression from hairdressing to a barber as I found working with mens hair was my passion and natural talent. "

Jack is the only barber at his shop but would love to expand the business.

Ginger Jacks also represents his own "quirky personality, love for music, and originality with affordable prices."

Mr Ewing also likes  to support local charities helping them raise money for good causes.

Jack now hopes to win the grand final in Birmingham on Friday, November 19 to represent the county.
