Legendary actor and Buckinghamshire resident David Jason has provided a health update in a short but comedic video.
The 83-year-old, who is best known for his performances as Derek ‘Del Boy’ Trotter in the sitcom, ‘Only Fools and Horses’, confirmed in the summer that he was due to have a ‘bionic body part’ fitted, which was revealed to be hip surgery.
This announcement came after he was forced to cancel his appearance at a comedy convention focusing on the show after suffering a ‘major health scare’ in August.

However, a short video that was posted onto X (formerly known as Twitter) on the evening of November 5, shows Jason, who has lived in Ellesborough near Aylesbury since 2005, walking onto his drive holding a pair of crutches.
He then throws the aids away and shadowboxes with the Rocky Balboa theme music playing in the background.
The actor also starred as Granville in the comedy ‘Open All Hours’, and as Jack Frost in the detective series, ‘A Touch of Frost’.
