The Taskmaster star will switch on the lights in Chesham this year.
The date and programme for Chesham’s Christmas light switch-on event has been announced.
Comedian Alex Horne off Taskmaster fame is set to kick off the festive season with a big switch-on together with the Chesham United Football Club on Friday, November 17.
Alex and the Chesham United FC will take on the stage on the High Street from 6.30pm, followed by late shopping, entertainment, Santa’s grotto, food and drink vendors, market stalls and activities until 9pm.
Chapter Two bookshop is set to host the Santa’s grotto, where children have a chance to meet Father Christmas and receive a gift in support of St Francis Hospice.

Food stalls lining the High Street include The Barbarian Grill, The Vegan Indian’s Mumbai street food and sweet Hong Kong bubble waffles among many others.
Festivalgoers can also shop for Christmas gifts, play ‘name the reindeer’ with Wycombe Homeless Connection and make Christmas decorations with the Second Chesham Scouts.
The organiser Chesham Town Council thanked this year’s partner Butterfly Print and Design for their support.
