HAVE you ever wondered how some of Wycombe's busiest roads would look if they were designed for pedestrians and cyclists? Now we know, thanks to a new AI bot from the Netherlands.

The artificial intelligence tool from Dutch Cycling Lifestyle takes a road address anywhere in the world, scans the Google street view and pushes out four alternative images from a seemingly carless future populated by people and bikes.

Here are five well-known roads in High Wycombe, re-imagined without cars.

Desborough Avenue

Here, the AI has replaced the road with a pedestrianised route and and yellow, orange and pink flowers with enough colour to give even the cloudy Desborough Avenue sky a splash of summer.

Green Street

Green Street has been reimagined with a cycle route blocking access for cars. The road looks a lot safer for neighbours with families who like to play outside on the road too.

Oxford Road

One of High Wycombe's main routes in the town centre has been reinvented as a haven for cyclists. The Ai has imagined the road with flowery shrubs and a cycle path in the middle.

Oakridge Road

This version of Oakridge Road features a cobbled street with beautiful flower shrubs surrounding the road. There are no cars parked on the road just bicycles sat up against the houses. But, which version do you prefer?

Marlow Hill

There is no need for a "slow" sign on the road in this AI-generated image of the steep Marlow Hill- not least because there is no road to put it on.

The AI has doused the cars in the original picture with a litany of plant beds and a narrow cycle path instead. It's picturesque but maybe slightly impractical.

Anything is possible in this AI's world.
