Two 16-year-olds were arrested within the space of a week for possession of cannabis, MDMA and ketamine with intent to supply in a Buckinghamshire town.

A 16-year-old boy was arrested by Neighbourhood Police Officers in Marlow at around 2pm on Monday, October 23, after he was seen smoking what was suspected to be cannabis in front of a Community Support Officer.

The Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a Section 23 drug search of the teenager and found him to be in possession of a quantity of cannabis.

He was arrested under suspicion of intent to supply and a police investigation is ongoing.

It comes after police arrested another 16-year-old male for intent to supply ketamine and MDMA at the Higginson Park skate park in Marlow between 4:30pm and 4:45pm on Friday, October 20.

Neighbourhood officers arrested the 16-year-old after a Section 23 search found 30 wraps of Class A and Class B drugs on his person.

In social media posts, a spokesperson for Thames Valley Police urged parents to be vigilant in monitoring their children’s movements and the items they may have in their rooms. 

Thames Valley Police has confirmed that the two incidents are not thought to be linked.
