A town park is up for a major revamp after a new masterplan was announced.
The Lowndes Park in Chesham is set for major development to improve the green space for residents of all ages.
Chesham Town Council aims to create a coherent park with a clear structure, a better used pond with improved water quality, a play hub for young people, an activities and events area, improve social provision for visitors and biodiversity.
The first stage of the project comes after funding from the Chesham and Villages Community Board and the Chess Smarter Water Catchment.

Following a consultation with residents, LDA design created a masterplan with a new playground, cafe, fitness and sports area, art installations, an improved skatepark and paths for walking and cycling.
Chesham Town Council said: “Significant investment will be needed to achieve these long-term plans, and the Masterplan is the first, critical step needed to attract funding.”
Together with volunteers at Love Lowndes, the town council is now working to raise money to create a new play area as part of the first phase of the plan.
Love Lowndes is hosting a big Pumpkin Parade on Saturday, October 28 from 4.30pm until 6.30pm to to help raise funds for the new playground.
