The local council has voted to delay a decision on the Marlow Film Studios planning proposal by five months.
Members of Buckinghamshire Council’s Strategic Sites Committee met in Aylesbury today (October 23) to discuss the Marlow Film Studios planning application.
After hearing from local councillors, planning officers and both supporters and opposers of the proposal, the committee voted six to five to defer its decision until March 2024 while further analyses of environmental and traffic-related issues took place.

Prior to the meeting, planning officers recommended that the project be rejected on the grounds that the development could negatively impact the proposed Little Marlow Lakes Country Park and the nearby Chiltern Beechwoods Special Area of Conservation (SAC).
The decision to defer the decision was taken after an initial motion to vote in favour of the planning officers’ conclusion failed after the committee chairman Cllr Alan Turner voted against it.
