More than £3,000 has been raised for three separate charities following the death of a local sports chairman in Buckinghamshire.
Those at Holmer Green Cricket Club decided to get together to honour the late Luke Rickett, who succumbed to cancer earlier this year.
The events, which included a charity run of 53km from Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium to Holmer Green CC in memory of the much-loved 49-year-old, saw them raise over £2,000 for Rennie Grove Peace Hospice, £900 for Diabetes UK & £675 for Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

The walk from the home of the North London side to Buckinghamshire took place on what would have been Luke’s 50th birthday.
A cheque presentation will take place on November 24 to Rennie Grove to mark the success.
A spokesperson from the cricket club said: “This is a story that is much more than just a cricket club, but about a community & a family that comes together in difficult times.”
