A loss of £934,000 on off-street parking was recorded by Buckinghamshire Council in 2022 according to figures published by the government.
The stats, which were sourced from the Government's Department of Levelling-Up, Housing, and Communities, came in the same week when it was revealed which streets in the county had picked up the most car park fines in the last year.

The council’s total profit for on-street parking came in at £462,000, whilst the off-street figure was an eye-watering -£1,396,000 – making a loss of £934,000.
The figures were made public on October 12 this year, after it was revealed that a total of 31,851 penalty charge notices (PCNs) were handed out across the county in 2022.

However, despite the loss, the unitary authority collected £927,324.93 from parking tickets.
