A PUB landlord will be sleeping under the stars to raise money for a cause close to his heart.
Tomas O'mongain-Mango, owner of The Cherry Tree pub in Flackwell Heath, High Wycombe, is raising funds for Only A Pavement Away, a charity he works for.
The charity is founded by members of the hostility industry who believe everyone deserves the chance to find a career.
The charity aims to help people facing homelessness, prison leavers and veterans who are struggling to get employment get jobs in the hospitality, pub and restaurant industries.
Every year, Tomas takes part in the charity's annual Sleep Out challenge to raise funds for the organisation.
On Monday, November 20, Tomas will be sleeping at Lord Cricket Ground from 7pm to 6.30am.
The pub is asking members of the public to donate to the charity. So far it has raised £181 from its £2,000 target.
The Cherry Tree said: "Every year the boss, Tomas O'mongain-Mango, takes part in the annual Sleep Out to help raise funds for a charity he works for, Only A Pavement Away, and so next month on 20/11/2023 he will be sleeping on the streets of London, well actually under the stands of Lord's cricket ground, and so we are hoping the wonderful customers of The Cherry Tree would support his cause by donating a few quid, even if it's only £1, as every penny helps!
"The charity works with vulnerable people to keep them off the street by training them to take up the many vacancies in the Hospitality industry."
Greg Mangham, Founder & CEO of Only A Pavement Away, said: "Mango is a great supporter of ours and has been involved with Only A Pavement Away since we started.
"He never says no when we ask him for his support and has always been keen to help and get involved whenever possible. Great to have the big man join us again on the CEO sleepout.
"Mango epitomises what hospitality is all about and is a great example to others."
